Family Gatherings or Intimate Retreat Awesome View sleeps 15 with the entire house or up to 7 for the upstairs only. Awesome views from every window. Over 5000 square feet. There are essentially two large family rooms. One with a 65 inch big screen tv with dvd player and access to the large and long side covered side porch. The other living area contains an enormous rock fireplace. This area also
features La-z-boy queen size sofa airbed with view and fireplace.

Nature and Privacy Hiking trails behind the home on a 500 acre nature preserve. Private retreat. 68 feet (YES 68 feet!) by 10 feet covered deck facing the town of Black Mountain. Also gives summer shaded views of Awesome Sunsets. 15 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway. 15 minutes to Ashville (Note misspelling missing the "e".)
Lil Smokey the bear visited last year, but hasn't been seen again. Remember to NEVER feed wildlife you see at Awesome View. It's not part of nature's cycle and not safe for you or others.

Rest and Relaxation There are 2 bedrooms upstairs at Awesome View and 4 downstairs. Each bed is comfortable and cozy. There are various degrees of firmness in the downstairs from hard to soft so that you and your friends and family can choose the bed that's just right for them All of the downstairs bedrooms have cable tv with with built-in dvd player, cd player and video game inputs. The mirrored sliding doors of the downstairs bedroom's closets reflect all of nature's glory outside. All of the downstairs windows are furnished with window coverings for privacy even though there are no neighbors to be seen even in winter. Awesome View is the ultimate in a convenient, yet, private getaway. These bedrooms face the northwest side of the house which faces the town of Black Mountain far down below in the valley. To make the downstairs bedrooms even cozier each one has a padded window seat with pillows that match the season.
Muraled Bedroom upstairs sleeps 3 with full size futon and twin above bunk bed. Wonderful sitting spot to the Northern Mountains above the town of Black Mountain. Separate entrance from the bedroom opens to the covered deck.
Native rock fireplace in Master Bedroom. Separate entrance from the bedroom opens to the covered deck. For your safety the fireplace is a showcase for candles and not real wood fires. Carpeting is too close to the entrance of it. But it sure looks good!
